There are many reasons a tub can come to look like any of the “Before” photos below. The most common is a property being abandoned. It may seem like a bathtub left to sit an empty house will, simply, sit there and nothing will affect it, but that’s not the case. Just like a toilet becomes stained when it sits for a long time without use, the moisture in the air, especially if a home isn’t properly sealed, can cause mold and mildew build up. This is especially the case when the vacating occupant doesn’t clean the bathtub well or doesn’t clean it at all before moving out.
